In today's world, the term "commercial grade" is tossed around very casually. Often it's just a marketing tool to make you think an item is built to a higher standard than it acutally is. However, in this case, even though Breville does not use the words, I could think of no better term to describe this beast.

You know you have a real product here when you take it out of the box. It's HEAVY. Not ridiculously heavy, not too heavy to move, just sturdy and well made. When you turn it on, you can hear and almost feel the power this device is going to bring to the task at hand.

The juice this makes is great, you can control the pulp that you get, or don't get.

We have owned cheaper juicers in the past, but honestly that is like comparing apple juice and orange juice (pun intended) there is simply no comparison.

I just bought this juicer from Amazon and I can make a liter of juice in about a minute. The large chute means I can toss everything in whole and with the 1000 Watt motor this can juice a bag of carrots, several apples and an entire stalk of lettuce put in whole in seconds with the shredder spinning at 13,000 rpm. I bought this for home and it would be fantastic for a health food restaurant of juice bar. For the fantastic quality and rugged construction you are get far more for your money than any other juicer on the market. It's worth a lot more than I paid for it and this juicer deserves more than 5 stars (far far superior to my top of the line all stainless ACME juicer). I make juice every morning and there is nothing so easy and fast to use.

Calphalon Unison Nonstick Saute Pans

I have used Calphalon almost exclusively for 10 years now. In 10 years we have had to have 3 returned to Calphalon for no fuss replacement, which happens quickly - super customer service. 3 needed to be replaced due to years of use, well worth the cost of the pans to get 10 years out of them. As long as you follow the directions for care, Calphalon is amazing. I have learned the hard way that you DO NOT run cold water into your hot pan, DO NOT make hard candy in your non-stick pans (candy making better suited for hard anodized). The Unison is the newest pan I have tried. I LOVE IT. It heats nicely, cooks evenly and cleans up beautifully. I cannot attest to washing them in the dishwasher, I can't even see why you would need do. I use a wash cloth and soap and everything wipes right out.

Initially, I was very pleased with this set of cookware and could not wait for additional pieces to be added by Calphalon. Now, I'm not so sure. I use the cookware on a gas cooktop and have been very careful with them, washing by hand, using liners between them for nesting, etc. However, the two pieces that I use most often have develped stains on the exterior. They do not affect the quality of the cooking and I have had no problem with the interior at this time (I've had them about 9 months and use them almost daily), but the exterior stains look horrible and make the cookware appear much older than it is. I would have given 2.5 stars if that option had been available, but could not honestly give them 3. I'm starting an All-Clad collection.

I bought this machine to make non-alcoholic versions of daiquiris and margaritias and discovred that this is one heck of a slush maker as well! The consistency of the drinks that this machine makes is like a frozen coke consistency and the machine works very quickly and easily. The machine is also very easy to clean after use. I am able to get three full batches of drinks from one batch of ice from my refrigerator's automatic ice maker. The automatic feature shaves ice and blends perfectly. This is the third "smoothie" type machine that I have had and the only one that works like it is supposed to. The battery charges well and so far I have made 15 batches of drinks without a recharge.

This will definitely be nice on hot summer nights on the deck!

Ok, so like almost everyone who is reading this review...my first thought was "Why am I going to pay THAT kind of money for a hyped up blender!" I can sum it up in two words...snowball fight!

Seriously though, I took the plunge and am not upset that I did. This makes a great addition to any party, whether it's a couple of friends, or a crowd. And nobody's walking around chewing on ice chips from their blender drinks! My kids love the shaved ice to play with, and it makes great snowcones/slushies.

Setup is easy, cleanup is easy (seriously), the only problem that I have found so far is creating the right recipes for the drinks. It comes with some standards...but I like to play!

Originally, my wife wanted to get a professional maker, but we found they were thousands of dollars. After buying the DM3000, we could care less about the profession model anymore...this one makes 3 different drinks in a cycle, is fun to watch, and easier to maintain! It is quick and effortless, especially if you pre-mix your drink ingredients and have them on standby.

In my opinion, if you have the extra money to spare, and you like to have friends over or have kids, this is a great product! 

Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker

We love our Margaritaville machine! It has eliminated two blenders and a snow cone maker in our own kitchen. No telling what more. My husband loves a good 'rita, and I like to drink health shakes in the morning for breakfast. This machine is perfect for our needs. You can also just shave a little ice to make a snowy soft snow cone for the kids or enlist the blender element solely. It's a large machine, so if a blender is a daily necessity in your house and you have plenty of counter space to accomodate it, then this is great for you. Now, this is not going to chop frozen strawberries w/o compromising the integrity, per the saleswoman's instructions at the Williams-Sonoma that we bought it at. By the way, we bought ours there for the same price, but also have the Williams-Sonoma guarantee that covers the Margaritaville for life. If you have a WS in your area, I would suggest this route. If not, at least Amazon has their 1 yr. warranty on it. 

Char Broil K6B 6-Burner 65,000 BTU Gas Grill, with Sideburner

I saw this grill at Walmart for $295 and, even though im single and live alone, i felt the need to buy the largest grill in the store. The first thing you notice about this grill is IT IS HUGE!. You could easily have a bbq for a large group of people with this grill, so if your on a budget and like to entertain in the summer, this is definitely the way to go. After getting the box home and opening it up you will stare at the parts and say to yourself "what did i get myself in to". I think i could have had it assembled for free but i wanted it right then and there. Actually it only took me 1.5 hours to put the whole thing together, so assembly is not that bad. Considering though that i am a mechanical engineer i would hope i could put a grill together... Once assembled, i grabbed a few porkchops and threw them on. If you have never used an infrared searing burner before, YOU NEED TO. This grill easily produced the juiciest pork chops i have ever made. I have used full infrared grills before but i suggest the separate infrared burner over the full infrared grill, because you have more latitude to grill at varying temps, vs a full infrared grill which will be ridiculously hot all the time. So far i have grilled pork chops, ribs, sirloin steaks, chicken corn and even perogies on this grill and everytime my food was done perfectly and evenly. I was very impressed for a 295 dollar grill. All of the components of the grill seem to be very solid and well made, the stainless tube burners are cheap to replace which is a plus. The downfall of the grill is the ignitor. It seems very solid so i doubt it will break quickly like most cheap grills, however the negative is that it only ignites one burner in the middle so to use the searing burner you have to light one burner at a time untill you get to it. There is a rail along the back which seems to be used for directing the flame across the back so you can light any burner off of it, but it doesn't really work that way. Although this is fairly minor and is only annoying the first couple uses. The other thing is that, if this grill is like other cheap grills, it will probably rust out, even if you keep it covered. Although i expect that this grill will last at least 3 or 4 seasons, which is worth the money in my opinion, especially at this price point.

So in conclusion, if you are looking for a grill on a budget, buy this right now before its out of stock. I noticed the walmart by me already removed most of the grills from display and its the beginning of JUNE!!. It cooks great, has a searing burner, 7 burners total, can cook for a crowd and is very solidly constructed. I guarantee you will get tons of compliments when your family, friends, and neighbors lay their eyes on it. They will be jealous.
